Why create a new bag today?
“Creating a new bag first comes from a desire to carry a new silhouette. With the Jess, I wanted to offer a shape dedicated to the boho-modern woman, free and self-assured. I had Jessica Lange in mind, whom I’ve always admired — hence its name. It is also a tribute to those inspiring women with instinctive, unapologetic style.”
Can you tell us about the creation process?
“It all started with the desire for a new form, a new silhouette. The design begins in my Paris studio before being developed in an exceptional Italian workshop. The Jess is entirely made in Italy, from Italian suede and smooth vegetable-tanned leather. Its custom-made buckles and signature hand-braided strap reflect the attention to detail and artisanal savoir-faire that are so close to my heart.”
How do you imagine women wearing the Jess?
“As with everything I create, this bag should naturally fit into daily life, elevating the everyday. I picture it worn with jeans and a shirt, or over an oversized coat. Its two shapes — elongated hobo or compact baguette — allow women to make it their own for any occasion. A daily bag, yet one that stands the test of time.”
